Two credit card thieves went on a shopping spree at a couple of Northeast Philly businesses soon after swiping a wallet from a woman in Andorra earlier this month. Police hope that someone will recognize the culprits and divulge their names.

The theft occurred at 6:55 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Kohl’s, 8500 Henry Ave. A man distracted the 78-year-old victim while a woman took her wallet containing identification and credit cards.

Less than an hour later, a man and woman used the victim’s credit card at Macy’s, 2399 Cottman Ave. The thieves subsequently made two visits to the Wawa at 7001 Roosevelt Blvd., making additional purchases. In all, the crooks racked up $3,512.75 in charges.

Police did not provide descriptions of the thieves, but surveillance video is available on the Philadelphia Police channel on YouTube. Call 215–686-TIPS or text to PPD TIP to report information. ••
